Flying over The Great Pyramids of Giza is one of a kind experience. If you are an advance paramotor pilot you will have a unique opportunity to take off and fly nearby all those amazing ancient monuments.
The Giza pyramid complex of ancient monuments includes the three pyramid complexes known as the Great Pyramids, the massive sculpture known as the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers village and an industrial complex. It is located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt
The Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.
Luxor has frequently been characterized as the “world’s greatest open-air museum”, as the ruins of the temple complexes at Karnakand Luxor stand within the modern city. Immediately opposite, across the River Nile, lie the monuments, temples and tombs of the west bank Necropolis, which includes the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens.

Schedule considerations
Please note that the flight(s) between your home country and Egypt may take more than one day. We recommend that you look up trips to Cairo International Airport and consider the need for an extra day of travel before the beginning of the trip and/or after its conclusion as you review your availability.
Visa and passport
The required visitor visa will be available at the airport upon arrival in Cairo. Currently, the visa to Egypt costs $25. Please make sure you have this amount available in cash upon arrival. The team responsible for picking you up from the airport will assist you in obtaining the visa.

Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip duration. Some airlines will not allow you to board the airplane at your origin airport if your passport is not valid for at least 6 months out.
Tours
At every location, pilots and guests will have several opportunities to visit landmarks. You may choose to do this on your own, or you may take part in guided tours offered by us at a separate fee. A list of the offered tours will be provided prior to the beginning of the trip.
Travel, medical, and third party insurance
You are encouraged to acquire a travel insurance policy that covers paragliding specifically or ultralight aviation activities in general. It is recommended that you choose a policy that covers emergency medical evacuation and repatriation.
Itinerary changes
The itinerary is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseeable circumstances. Changes will be made only when necessary and will be communicated promptly to participants.
Additional Considerations for Pilots
Equipment
Pilots may choose to bring their own paramotor, or they may rent a paramotor from the organizer subject to availability. Paramotor rental is available for USD $200 per day of actual use. Prior to the adventure, pilots who are renting gear will be asked for their weight and throttle side preference.
Pilots must bring their own paraglider.
Pilots must bring their own helmets, which must be compatible with radio communication. Pilots who are unable to bring a helmet that meets this requirement must notify the organizer before the event.
Flotation devices are required for pilots planning to fly directly over water. They will be available for rental at $40 for the entire trip. Pilots bringing their own flotation device should not travel with
CO2 cartridges as they are not allowed on commercial airlines. Cartridges will be available for rent from the organizer at $15 for the entire trip.
Trikes are available for rent with the rental of a motor at USD $100 per day.
Other equipment and supplies are available for purchase from the organizer, as needed. Please contact the organizer for availability and prices.
Equipment damage
In the event of damage of rented equipment, the pilot responsible for the damage will cover the cost of repair or replacement as determined by the organizer.

After 3 years from the 1st event I was back at the Pyramids flying again with great bunch of pilots from the Ozone Team & friends.
As usual Sky Sports Egypt did they absolutely best to pull off another great event! I can’t express enough how great and special were last 10 days spent at Red Sea, Luxor and Pyramids.

I think Galala worth the visit If is available on the next tour, such an amazing place! Luxor is really nice to do small cross country while seeing all the historical sites along the nile, it’s just breathtaking!
And the pyramids are MUST, you have no idea of the size of them until you fly above them.

An amazing awe inspiring adventure:
The team at Sky Sport Egypt arranged an all inclusive and organized event. Seamlessly arranging every aspect of travel and accommodations upon arrival to Cairo. This is truly comforting as a solo female traveler. I was retrieved directly from the terminal and escorted through baggage claim and customs to a private car.
GALALA:
A beautiful beachside resort, where I met the rest of Sky Sports Egypt team and graciously welcomed. With mountains to the west providing paragliding opportunities and a subtropical beach, Galala was a destination all to itself.
LUXOR: (Valley of the Kings, Luxor & Karnak temples)
The most beautiful of sights to behold. Less well known to me I was able to fly over the city of Luxor to the temple, fly along the “Avenue of sphinxes” to Karnak (the penultimate foot drag, ever greater than dragging the Nile)
CAIRO:
The pièce de résistance of the trip. Flying the spectacularly famous and ancient site of the Pyramids was surreal. And to get special permission to fly at night was truly over the top!

1. A ropes course in Galala
2. Tourist afternoon in Luxor
3. And a night in Old Cairo (truly another amazing experience)

As soon as I arrived I felt the hospitality and professionalism of the team added with great humour. The team could tell my friend and I were a bit anxious, they worked to loosen us up a little.
As soon as we took off and flew into the sky I must admit…I was scared. But the pilot instructed me to look back at the view of the pyramids. The fear just vanished and I was in awe of the view. This was truly one of the best experiences in my life. I’ve travelled to many places and seen alot of things. This is one of the few things that actually took my breath away!
