The Giza pyramid complex of ancient monuments includes the three pyramid complexes known as the Great Pyramids, the massive sculpture known as the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers village and an industrial complex. It is located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt
The Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.
Luxor has frequently been characterized as the “world’s greatest open-air museum”, as the ruins of the temple complexes at Karnakand Luxor stand within the modern city. Immediately opposite, across the River Nile, lie the monuments, temples and tombs of the west bank Necropolis, which includes the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens.

HOW TO GET YOUR PARAMOTOR TO EGYPT.
Shipping of the equipment is not possible because of complicated custom procedure; your equipment might be stuck in customs for weeks!
All pilots need to travel with their motor by plane as luggage. You need to make sure you can check in with your motor at departure airport. SKY SPORTS EGYPT organise a special permission for all pilots to bring motors as a luggage to Egypt and will assist you at the Cairo International Airport to pass customs without any problems. We recommend travel by Egypt Air.
RENTING PARAMOTOR. There are only 7 motors available to rent: 5 x Thor 130 cc and 2 x Thor 250 cc. Pilots pay for all damages. DEPOSIT 500 USD IS REQUIRED, must be paid in cash on arrival (before the first flight).
FLYING. Weather in Egypt is usually stable and predictable. Morning are always best to fly with low wind conditions. Afternoons are usually windy and bumpy but mostly flyable. Each day it is possible to fly at least 3 – 4 hours. Pilots are allowed to fly nearby all Temples and Monuments but with reasonable limits! Touch & Go, or foot drag is not allowed! Minimum altitude is 30 meters. Respect the flying site and tourist visiting the Temples and Pyramids. All pilots are required to have radio communication at all times!
INSURANCE. All pilots are required to have Third party insurance and (travel) medical insurance.
TRAVELING DATES Hotel, airport transfer, special assistance at the airport are only possible within the Tour dates. If you travel outside those dates please organize own Hotel and Airport transfer.
FUL + 2T SYNTHETIC OIL for paramotor is delivered by the organiser for additional cost 2.5 USD per 1 liter.
VISA. All participants is advised to arrange visa online prior to arrival. Cost of the Visa is 25 USD. It is possible to buy Visa at the airport on arrival. Visa online: https://www.visa2egypt.gov.eg

An amazing awe inspiring adventure:
The team at Sky Sport Egypt arranged an all inclusive and organized event. Seamlessly arranging every aspect of travel and accommodations upon arrival to Cairo. This is truly comforting as a solo female traveler. I was retrieved directly from the terminal and escorted through baggage claim and customs to a private car.
GALALA:
A beautiful beachside resort, where I met the rest of Sky Sports Egypt team and graciously welcomed. With mountains to the west providing paragliding opportunities and a subtropical beach, Galala was a destination all to itself.
LUXOR: (Valley of the Kings, Luxor & Karnak temples)
The most beautiful of sights to behold. Less well known to me I was able to fly over the city of Luxor to the temple, fly along the “Avenue of sphinxes” to Karnak (the penultimate foot drag, ever greater than dragging the Nile)
CAIRO:
The pièce de résistance of the trip. Flying the spectacularly famous and ancient site of the Pyramids was surreal. And to get special permission to fly at night was truly over the top!

As soon as I arrived I felt the hospitality and professionalism of the team added with great humour. The team could tell my friend and I were a bit anxious, they worked to loosen us up a little.
As soon as we took off and flew into the sky I must admit…I was scared. But the pilot instructed me to look back at the view of the pyramids. The fear just vanished and I was in awe of the view. This was truly one of the best experiences in my life. I’ve travelled to many places and seen alot of things. This is one of the few things that actually took my breath away!
